The Logo and the Fist of TO’A at Body & Mind Training Institute Inc.

Quite contrary to the false claim of some fake masters who created the fake styles which have no root, no origin or no nobility, the logo of Body and Mind Training Inc. is original and certified.

The logo in Kung Fu To’a consists of elements that convey some of the main beliefs, meanings and symbols that are part of the fundamental principles in To’a.

* The Fist.

In the center of the logo is a fist, which symbolizes the power and strength. It stands for protest and objection, it shows a denial of ignorance, blindness and keeping away from all these dark entities.

The original logo had been designed by Grand Master Mirzaii at the times of the fundation of Kung Fu To’a, and while the Art he was creating was passing through some changes, the logo remained the same, except for some trivial modifications in colors. The essence and nature of this symbol suggests a standing fist and shows an objection that is not meant to be an assault or violation, it is not trespassing other’s right, but it is a call to achieve power in order to maintain and protect peace, tranquillity and friendship. In To’a we never use our power to be cruel or oppressive, we rather use it to help weak, oppressed people to protect them.

A Kung Fu To’a Ka has the duty to protect the peace that often may be threatened by different kind of enemies. The Fist, which indicates the “protection of peace through the power”, addresses that peace indeed is an asset that must be always defended, but in order to be able to do it the Kung Fu Ka must have strength, courage, determination and will power.

* The colors.

The background of the logo is black to symbolize the darkness and gloomy atmosphere, made by charlatans to deceive people. They want to do their oppressive plans over people and cheat them. Now people have to come out from this dark world, guided by the Red Fist that emerges from that gloominess to show the way out to the Hamrahan, to guide them to the path of wisdom, to reach and achieve better conditions and bring brightness to life.

Originally Grand Master Mirzaii used to represent this sign with the fist, but at Body & Mind Training Institute Inc. the left fist is used instead.

When professor Mirzaii created this logo, his aim was to provide peace and friendship but later especially during the Revolution in Iran, people used this fist in order to object to the undeniable conditions of that time, therefore the fist was used to show the objection to all kind of dishonesty, deceitful conditions and hypocrisies. in KANUN (Body & Mind Training Institute Inc.), we use the left hand to let the right hand free to move and act doing other important things, so that our objection can be shown in a more perfect and efficient way. When we use the left hand as a mean of strength and power, in the same moment with the right hand we can pick up a pen and write powerfully, or we can pick up a book to read, or even pick up a bunch of flowers as symbol of beauty as a way to show our objection in a more popular and comprehensive way. Of course sometimes we might be less strong than our opponent, therefore we can pick up stone or wood to defend ourselves, as it was done during the Iranian Revolution. We can mention another cirumstance during the times when Iran was invaded and people had to pick up guns with the right hands to defend their country, their people, their religion, and their deep beliefs. In the same way, the right hand supports and helps the left hand by using some tools to make us more powerful, more prominent and efficient.

With these explanations, now it’s quite clear that, the logo of Body & Mind Training Institute Inc. had been created, then presented to Professor Mirzaii at the time in the university of body and mind, and confirmed by him. So, by this confirmation, the logo was used in the first educational book of Kung Fu To’a called (Anattawa) which was published and used abundantly at the time.
