The Yellow in the Drapery

The Dais in Daneshkadeh, was an elevated platform used by Yaromeh Mirzaii, the founder of the Kung Fu To’a, to teach and talk to the hamrahan from a position that allowed him to be seen by everybody.

The Dais with its different parts is all a symbol and a sign, a message to the hamrahan, and at the same time a reference to the common goals shared by all Kung Fu Kas.

The Falcon is one of the symbols of the Iranian culture. This sign represents the persian perspective, a way to look at life to reach the goals, to think and work in the direction of the highest results, to reach the greatness, and it is rised above the drapery that is representing all the Colored Sashes in Kung Fu To’a. The Falcon is placed between the black and the red colors.

In its talons he holds two opposite spheres, to symbolize the conflicts and the opposite worlds. One spehere represents the power of life and fertility, while the other one represents the infertility and the end of a cycle.

The head of the Falcon is a human head, to show the endless activity of the Thought and of the Mind.

Below the Falcon is the drapery, five colored layers that shows the passages on the Way of Wisdom: the White, Green, Brown, Black and Red Sash.

The lower one is the level of the White Sash. White suggests purity. It pictures the image of an inexperienced youth who has just started to learn without any previous background or knowledge. His mind and his soul is as white as a sheet of paper and is far away from evil. This Layer is the longer one, to show that many people are attracted on the Path and wish to start their journey. But on this Way, the hamrahan have to face many difficulties, some of them are coming from their mind and soul, others are from the external world and from the personal situation in the daily life. Not everybody has the strength or the possibility to overcome all those challenges and they stop their way.

But the trials and difficulties are present at every level on the Path, and fewer and fewer Kung Fu Kas are able to overcome them all. For this reason, the following levels get shorter, as a sign of the decreasing number of hamrahan at the different levels of the colored Sash.

The yellow color is between all the levels up to the Black Sash. This is to remember that our limits and all the difficulties are present all the time, untill the moment the Kung Fu Ka reaches the Black Sash. The absence of the yellow color here shows that the Kung Fu Ka has reached the complete maturity and has gained experience. He knows about himself and what is around him, and he has reached the Wisdom.

All around the other colors is the Red Sash. The red colour implies the notion of flowing blood. It suggests life and the essence of being. It is the level of the Rahbar, or the Leader, the one who protects others and becomes like an umbrella which supports and guides the Kung Fu Kas in every level all along the Way.
